ETC/ETC Preparatory Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization/school
which provides services on Mercer Island, Seattle, and the greater eastside
communities.
ETC/ETC Preparatory Academy abides by all federal anti-discriminatory laws in the selection of our students, faculty, and administrative staff.
Our founders set a precedent of working with educators and other professionals on behalf of public and private schools. Our current structure includes a Board of Directors, an Executive Director, and two academic directors who have extensive training and experience in working with school districts, identifying student learning needs, and designing effective, best practice instructional programs for students at all levels of achievements.
Over 3500 students have completed courses at ETC Preparatory Academy since 1992. Our student population represents an intellectually, ethnically and geographically diverse population. Our hours of service are 7:30 am-8:00 pm Monday-Saturday at our main office and 7:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday at our offsite location (Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mercer Island).
Our students receive tutoring or take classes for credit in a wide variety of subject areas. Please see our full list of offerings under the “Services” menu. We also offer an instructor-proctored homework session each day (Homework Hero). Additionally, we are an approved test site for the non-standard administration of the SAT and ACT.
Our large faculty includes three educators who are certified in Special Education and two licensed and certified speech and language therapists. All faculty members have degrees (many holding advanced degrees and other certifications) and are recruited for their merit in particular fields. All have undergone appropriate background checks to ensure the safety of our students.
